I picked up my laundry today and tried to use the computer lab, but they were all closed for inscription, so I used one of the pay per minute places to check my email real quick. Katie is evidently going to finish out college in London and Dean & Sarah are moving to Illinois in 2 weeks. I met my roommates today, too. Everyone is moved in, so there are 6 of us here. 2 guys from Sweden, Harry & Daniel, one from Poland, Adam, and 2 girls from France, I’m not even going to try to write down their names now because of the strange pronunciation. The three guys speak English well enough that it really sounds like it might be their native language. The two girls both have quite strong accents. I talked to Jorge and got a schedule for orientation and the Fall activities and ¡my camera finally got here! G-rant rocks! I saw Helena and am meeting with her tomorrow morning to get my schedule set up. I also took all my Colola clothes, even the ones I didn’t wear, to be washed. Oh, and since I shut my window when I left, all the moisture in my room, in addition to my wet clothes in my closet, caused my backpack to grow lots of mold. That might just be the end for it, after about 8 years, no, longer than that because I got it with mom, because I’m not sure I feel like cleaning it. I think I will though; I really like that bag, kinda attached to it. Just hung out with my new roommates tonight and listened to all sorts of French, Russian, Polish and Italian music. I imagine that I will be much more cultured and informed about Europe and the world after this semester. I’ll have to make sure I burn lots of new music before everything is all said and done. Hopefully I’ll learn a few phrases or whatnot in these other languages before I’m done here, too, although the pronunciation seems very difficult. We might end up starting an intramural soccer team, too. I’m already really looking forward to the next 3 or 4 months.
